ETP Eligibility Requirements

STEP 1: To start, a company completes a Certification Statement, signs it and sends it in to ETI. The statement includes information about your company, industry, products, training plans and your contributions towards the State funded training program. You may obtain the Certification Statement by calling (661) 362-5657
STEP 2: We take it from there and submit the Certification Statement for final eligibility approval by the State.
STEP 3: Once approved, you will submit a Training Program Application for each trainee, along with a paystub. For our current contract, a trainee must be earning a minimum of $14.02 per hour by the end of the 90 day period following the completion of the class. You can add company paid medical, dental, and vision benefits to the hourly wage to meet the requirement; if so, you must submit a Medical Certification Form obtained from our office. STEP 4: A $200.00 materials fee, per student, payable to the Santa Clarita Community College District, should be mailed in to College of the Canyons Employee Training Institute on 26455 Rockwell Canyon Rd., Santa Clarita, CA 91355 before the first day of class.
Classes meet at our Center for Applied Competitive Technologies or College of the Canyons Valencia campus. Some classes are held on-site at the employer's request. Class attendance guidelines apply.
